When I was a child I was afraid of the deep water. When someone said, “we’re going to the deep end” of the pool, I was immediately full of fear. These days, I live in the deep water. Sometimes it’s fun. Sometimes it’s scary. I’ve finally learned that no matter the circumstance (scary, fun or otherwise!) we always have an opportunity to experience God in the beauty and messiness of living on earth. Sometimes these moments are so amazing it takes my breath away. This blog is about living in the deep end – however that may be present on any given day. My hope is that the musings here will somehow add “salt” to the conversations of life.

I am full of thought and prayers for you and this experience.
You have a wonderful gift of writing. One cannot meditate on your words without experiencing the presence and holiness of God. I loved your “Virtual Chapel” blogs written while at the YMCA and now I am blessed by your writings from your pastorate. Please, please consider a compilation of your spiritual ponderings and put them in the form of a book. They will continue to disciple and inspire readers for the generations who follow.
Thank you, Chaplain Larry! I hear your voice often as I write. I have this on my radar to do… Thank you for reading!
